Hello everyone!
I've decided to host a fundraiser in support of vulnerable children and families affected by the migration crisis in Central America and Mexico. Around 6.3 million migrant and refugee children in the region are facing life-threatening situations. They are fleeing crushing poverty, gang warfare, trafficking and other threats. And they risk facing even more dangers on their journeys to safety.
The high, unpredictable migration flows are increasing demands on already limited services and structures in host countries. This situation requires urgent action and funding to provide children and families with essential services and support.
I've chosen to fundraise for UNICEF because they respond to more than 300 emergencies each year, from conflicts to natural disasters. They exist for every child everywhere, without discrimination. They’re able to work with governments and influence the private sector and decision-makers to protect children’s rights.
As a part of their relief efforts in Central America and Mexico, UNICEF is working quickly to provide life-saving emergency support to children and families, including delivering safe drinking water and hygiene items, micronutrient supplements, treatment for diseases, and providing school children with educational and recreational materials.
ll of this is only possible because of the support from donors like you. That’s why I’m asking for your help. The number of children who need urgent aid is unsurmountable. We don’t know how long this will go on but what we do know is that your donation can help in more ways than one. Please join me and donate because a child is a child first and foremost and they need to be protected.
Thank you!
For every child.
