Parviz was a loving husband, father, grandfather and the founder of Persia Foods.

Parviz was born in Yazd, Iran in 1959. He escaped Iran on camelback in 1985 and emigrated to Canada with his wife and two young children in May of 1987. His third child was born 2 months later. He worked tirelessly for the next 37 years - first in manual labour positions, and then in opening his first store in 1996, with little experience, mentorship, and minimal finances - just with ambition and a will to sacrifice. He was an example of the Canadian dream, up until his passing on March 20th, the first day of the Iranian New Year.

He is survived by his wife, Mahnaz, 3 children, Quddous, Maryam and Sobbuh, and 5 grand children, Celine, Cyrus, Darius, Jasper and Surya.

Parviz always liked to help underprivileged children. In place of flowers, we will be taking donations from those who wish to share, to help children in need.
