EVENT PURPOSE: 

In 2023-2024, UNICEF UTM aims to further the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by centring the focus on children. The Halloween bake sale is an event that will focus on SDG #2: Zero Hunger.

Even today, many children worldwide cannot access the good quality nutrition they require and are suffering from malnutrition. This is especially true for those who are in emergency/crisis states and the youngest and poorest. Since today's children will be tomorrow's leaders, their well-being is crucial for global growth and development.

The Halloween bake sale aims to raise awareness about the importance of good nutrition for children to UTM students and other members. Furthermore, UNICEF UTM is continuing to work towards raising $10, 000 for UNICEF to ensure that children everywhere, especially those in vulnerable situations, can get the help they need to receive the good nutrition they need.

Our Campus Club is proud to be supporting UNICEF Canada. The money raised will help provide what every child needs to grow up safe and healthy: water, nutrition, protection, education and health care.

Here are just a few ways your donation can make a life-changing impact for some of the world’s most vulnerable children:

• A donation of $22 can provide 42 packets of life-saving food supplement to 14 children suffering from malnutrition.
• A donation of $50 can provide 59 children with life-saving vaccines.
• A donation of $100 can provide 167 children with school essentials required for a successful education.
